Campus Community Alert: Car Burglaries

> Hello all,
>
>
>
> The Grinnell Police are starting to see a rise again in residential
> car burglaries. As a result, the Police would like to remind
> citizens of some safeguards they can take to try and prevent them
> from becoming a victim of a car burglary.
>
>
>
> First: Always make sure to lock your vehicle.
>
> Second: Do Not leave valuables in your vehicle at night such as
> purses, wallets, IPODS, CD's money and the like.
>
> Third: If your vehicle cannot be parked in a garage, try and park
> it in a lighted area outside.
>
> Fourth: Make sure if you do park your vehicle inside a garage,
> secure the garage doors at night and make sure the overhead door is
> pulled down and secured.
>
> Fifth: If you observe anyone in your neighborhood looking in a
> vehicle or acting suspicious, please contact the Grinnell Police
> immediately so we investigate this as soon as possible.
