Unhand that Rail! Bikes and Stairs Don't Mix

Hello all,

Locking your bicycles to the handrails at the steps leading to buildings may be convenient for you, but it is downright dangerous for people who need to use the handrails to negotiate the stairs. Similarly, leaving bikes right at the bottom of the stairs also presents a danger. In the near future Campus Safety & Security will begin cutting the locks of bikes locked to handrails. The bikes will be removed and placed in storage.

Please do not lock your bike to the handrails. Please lock your bike to the bike racks only.
