Campus Alert Bulletin 09-1294 (Thefts)

 


 

Hello all,

 

We continue to get theft reports of person(s) unknown stealing items from on campus and in the surrounding areas. These thefts involve laptop computers, ipods, bicycles, wallets, thefts from vehicles, etc.   Campus Safety & Security in coordination with the Grinnell Police Department continues to investigate these thefts. If you have any information concerning these thefts please contact Campus Safety & Security at 269-4600.

Crime Prevention Tips:

-Please lock your room when you leave the area. 

-If your studying in an area please do not leave your valuable items alone.

-If you see residence hall doors propped open please shut them.

-Please record all identifying characteristics of your valuable items.

- If you have credit cards please record pertinent information from your cards.

-Lock your bicycles to the campus bike racks using the bar shape u-style bike locks.  Please do not leave them in   

  unsecured areas nor lock them to handrails.

-Register your bicycle with the Campus Safety & Security Office.

-Report any suspicious persons in your area.
